The architectural design, supervision and project coordination of the Pedestrian Bridge on Kifissias Ave. were carried out by 'Alexandros C. Samaras & Associates S.A.' pro bono, following the tragic death of a student in a traffic accident.

This large-scale project is a model in community service and safe passage. Fully utilized today, the bridge safely serves citizens and residents of three Municipalities (Psychico, Philothei and Chalandri). Above all, it caters to students from over 15 school complexes in the vicinity. It also serves as an example of how great things can be accomplished, when there is productive collaboration and synergy between the State, local government and private initiative.
